Description
A skid sprag is a rail safety device designed to prevent stationary or runaway rail vehicles from moving unintentionally on inclined or underground rail tracks. Its primary function is to grip the rail and act as a mechanical stop, preventing mine cars, locomotives, or wagons from rolling due to gravity or loss of braking. Skid sprags are designed for underground mining rail systems and inclined track sections where additional protection is required to improve operational safety and prevent uncontrolled vehicle movement.
